Reporting to the Principal of Adult and Continuing Education, the teachers will be responsible for the instructional delivery and daily student support for the duration of the program. Teachers are responsible for record keeping and final reporting for their assigned course.

Monday – Friday:
9:00 am- 12:00 pm

Academic Support positions also available:
Monday-Friday:
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

4:00 pm- 7:00 pm

Key Competencies:
Successful applicants for these positions will demonstrate evidence of:

Ability to integrate technology into daily practice

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, Growing Success, and the School Effectiveness Framework

Strong pedagogy supporting learners with literacy and numeracy skills

Major Responsibilities for Teachers:
Implementing effective student assessment practices (e.g. descriptive feedback)

Enhance Curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student engagement and foster deeper learning

Knowledge of the virtual learning environment (D2L: Brightspace) with emphasis on the portfolio tool

Completion of student record keeping, documentation of student grades, and completion of report cards

Requirements:
Intermediate/Senior Qualifications required in the subject area

Special Education qualification preferred

Teaching and Learning through eLearning AQ preferred
