South Beach Skin Lab is a successful e-commerce skincare brand. We are searching for a reliable and committed part-time customer service agent. Our work-from-home Customer Service Agents are passionate about fulfilling our customer's needs and making every interaction an unforgettable experience through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and text interactions.
This is not your ordinary call center! All our customer service agents work from their homes with the help of Zendesk and other technologies that allow you to ditch your daily commute to the office.
Candidates must have previous experience working in a call center environment, experience taking high daily call volumes, and must work well with team members communicating through online means (Slack). The ideal candidate will work well on their own and will be a self-starter - Since you're working from home, you’ll need to be able to work independently and be mature about delivering what’s expected of the position.
That being said, we provide you with quality one on one training for you to become a successful product specialist.
IMPORTANT: This is a great position and an awesome company to work for, but the job isn’t always easy. It’s important that the right candidate is good with de-escalating angry customers and knows how to leave their pride at the door. The ideal candidate will keep a positive attitude towards all customers and won't let the angry ones get to them!
This role requires you to have a stable internet connection and a quiet place in your home where you can take inbound customer phone calls. As these are the basic requirements for the position, they are non-negotiable.
We are a small, strong, friendly team and are looking for an individual to join us that will bring their best self to the job each day!
Note: we work on Eastern Standard time.
Our hours of operation are 9am - 6pm EST (6am-3pm PST) Monday to Sunday, including most holidays.
What you’ll do
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding their orders placed online.
- Receive inbound calls from customers.
- Make outbound calls to customers who left messages outside of support hours.
- Help customers place orders online or take orders over the phone.
- Keep records of your interactions with customers through Zendesk.
- Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
- Respond to customer challenges in a professional and courteous manner
- Input accurate customer data into computer systems
- Handle and accurately process transactions
- Meet department standards and KPI requirements
Requirements:
Must have:
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Previous call centre experience - experience dealing with a high volume of customer requests is preferred
- Previous customer service experience.
- Comfortable with being on the phones all-day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent time management skills and attendance.
Good to have:
- Experience using Zendesk, Shopify or Slack is a huge plus.
- Experience in online sales
- A positive attitude and responsive approach to constructive feedback
- A team-oriented attitude

Salary: $17-$21 Rate can vary depending on experience.
